Accountant - betFIRST

We are looking for an Accountant, based in Malta, to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. The main responsibilities include keeping financial records updated and supporting with the day-to-day administration of the Finance function.

This role reports to our Finance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support Accounts Receivables & Accounts Payables as required
• Preparation of Gaming Taxes
• Game Provider Reconciliations and Reporting
• Other Routine and Ad-hoc Reconciliations
• Payment Runs for select betFIRST entities
• Accounting for Accruals & Prepayments
• Assistance in Cash & Cash equivalent accounting
• Assistance in Audit Procedures
• Assistance in Month-end Closing & Reporting
• Assistance to rest of Finance team as required
• Ad-hoc reporting on items as may be reasonably assigned
• General Accounting duties for select betFIRST entities
• Other duties as may be reasonably assigned.

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of English language is necessary.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• In the process of completing an Accounting Qualification such as ACCA.
• Competency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and accounting software.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers.
• Well organized, flexible and a team worker.
• Willingness to learn on the job and manage their own processes.
