The Opportunity
The position of Director of Sales is a pivotal and transformational role requiring a strategic blend of vision, expertise, and execution. This role is instrumental in achieving sustained growth by capitalizing on Commvault's distinct competitive advantages, effectively aligning them with customers' defined business objectives. Management and development of talent will serve as a cornerstone of success in this role, ensuring that all team members deliver maximum value to their customers while advancing their professional aspirations.
What You’ll Do…
This role will hold overall responsibility for the district sales in Central and Western Canada, third party alliances engagement and customer satisfaction. · Achieve / exceed quarterly and annual goal quota. · Provide accurate forecast and pipeline management · Strong operational sales cadence for driving consistent field engagement, pipeline generation and opportunity execution · Responsible for regions expense management · Direct customer executive level engagement · Talent management including recruiting, coaching and developing sales team members
- Execute a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Commvault’s opportunities across all product
solutions specifically targeted for vertical markets – Leveraging Commvault's GTM assets
- Strong coach, mentor and educator for all Sales Reps within Districts. The team will have a cross section of accounts across a specified district, containing mostly complex named accounts.
- Reports to Area Vice President, manages a district of up to 7 Sales Reps. Works closely with a team to include System Engineers, Professional Services, Marketing, Partners, Inside Sales, and others in the support and management of prospects and customers.
Who You Are…
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of software sales management experience with a proven track record of success
- Domain expertise in Cyber Security / Resilience and Data Protection and Recovery
- Creates and Effectively Communicates a Vision
- Strategic Thinking & Business Planning (territory, team, resources, selling environment)
- Challenges Thinking and Continuously Improves Performance
- Builds Team & Develops Talent

- Travel expected to be 30% of the time
- Lead and Manage Changes
- Demonstrated ability to articulate products and/or service offerings for organization.
- High level of technical knowledge of software and infrastructure products and services and knows when to engage additional resources; strong business acumen, excellent communication skills
