Baler Operator

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking a skilled Baler Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate baling equipment to process materials efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience operating balers and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Baler or other heavy equipment.
- Equipment Operator will generally operate a Baler equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered grapple which is used to compact ferrous metals and create bales that can be easily transported to our customers.
- Operating baler and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner as directed by supervisory personnel to support daily facility operations.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, removing debris and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Performing daily cleaning, upkeep and safety checks of the equipment pre and post operation to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in operating heavy machinery preferred.
- Previous experience operating balers or similar equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in equipment operation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in various outdoor conditions.
- Capacity to operate heavy machinery for extended periods.
