Investment Product Marketer, Alternative Investments- Assistant Vice President / Vice President

About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President or Vice President, Product Marketer to support the commercialization of our Alternative Investments platform across private wealth channels. This role partners closely with Distribution, ISG and Research to execute fundraising campaigns, drive lifecycle marketing initiatives, and deliver compelling advisor engagement programs.

This individual will help translate complex alternative investment strategies into clear, differentiated messaging and scalable marketing programs that support capital raising efforts and deepen advisor adoption across RIAs, independent broker-dealers, private banks, and enterprise wealth platforms.

Responsibilities

  • GTM strategy and Campaign Execution
    • Support end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for fundraising campaigns across alternative investment offerings.
    • Execute lifecycle marketing initiatives to sustain engagement throughout the fundraising period and beyond close.
    • Support launch and ongoing promotion of Research insights and model portfolios, ensuring they are integrated into broader alternative investment campaigns and advisor communications.
    • Partner with Distribution teams to align marketing efforts with capital raising priorities
    • Develop differentiated positioning and messaging that resonates across distinct wealth channels and advisor segments based on where they are in the journey
  • Channel Strategy Development
    • Support targeted marketing programs for RIAs, IBDs, private banks, and enterprise wealth firms.
    • Assist in segmenting advisor audiences and tailoring messaging based on sophistication level and portfolio construction needs.
    • Help identify opportunities to increase penetration within key distribution channels.
  • Sales Enablement & Advisor Education
    • Develop and maintain sales enablement materials including pitch decks, brochures, videos, webinars, conference materials, portfolio construction insights, case studies
    • Create educational content to support advisor understanding of alternative investments
    • Ensure marketing materials align with Distribution priorities and support advisor conversations.
  • Content & Thought Leadership
    • Collaborate with Research and ISG to translate market insights into compelling, advisor-focused content.
    • Support development of multi-format materials (white papers, webinars, digital campaigns, conference materials).
    • Reinforce the firm’s positioning within private markets and advisor portfolio construction conversations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 7-10+ years of relevant professional experience in financial services (e.g. investment management, product marketing within financial services with a focus on alternative investments, private market funds, or similar products
  • Experience with 1940act funds and private markets a plus
  • Broad understanding of how to effectively market to wealth managers
  • Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships with internal teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills for storytelling and ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • General knowledge and understanding of FINRA and SEC marketing and advertising guidelines

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $175,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
