The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Sr Manager, Email and CRM:
LA28 is looking for a Sr. Manager, Email and CRM to join the Digital Engagement Marketing team.
The E-mail and CRM Manager role will spear-head efforts to create connections with fans through effective communication and engagement through email. This person is an E-mail and CRM specialist, who is obsessed with evaluating, managing, and enhancing the LA28 fan experience through effective data analysis. This person will create and manage subscriber lists, build and maintain dynamic content strategies, develop and test personalized journeys, and design visually appealing emails for LA28’s unique local and global audiences. This person will be a storyteller of the LA28 brand and a key contributor in building a legacy for the Olympic and Paralympic Movement through the lens of the fans and athletes.
This is a results-focused role for a hands-on person who is driven to create tangible outputs with cross-functional teams, and who is at ease being a brand steward of the LA28 brand. He/she/they will report to the Head of Data and CRM.
Key Responsibilities:
- CRM & Email Campaign Management:
- Own the day-to-day execution of CRM and email marketing campaigns, including planning, template development, strategy, execution, segmentation, testing, deployment, and reporting
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support email campaigns tied to ticket sales, events, merchandise, digital content, and fan programs
- Design and build automated journeys (including welcome series, re-engagement, and lifecycle campaigns) using Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools.
- Ensure templates and journeys are mobile-optimized, dynamic, and reflective of the LA28 brand.
- Segmentation & Personalization:
- Leverage fan data to identify and design audience attributes, creating dynamic and static targeted segments based on lifecycle stage, behavior, interests, purchase history, and engagement level.
- Execute and optimize conditional content and dynamic fields to tailor messaging at scale, that reflect fans’ preferences, behaviors, and seasonality.
- Manage foundational audience segmentation and list creation efforts to support more personalized messaging at scale.
- Marketing Automation & Optimization:
- Manage marketing automation tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Design journeys and implement logic for audience entry, exit, and re-entry triggers.
- Utilize AB testing to evaluate and optimize segmentation and personalization strategies, including subject lines, creative, send times, and frequency to improve performance
- Define testing plans, document learnings, and apply optimizations across ongoing and future campaigns.
- Monitor KPIs including open/click rates, conversions, unsubscribe rates, and deliverability
- Data & Reporting:
- Collaborate with the Consumer Data & Insights & Analytics team to refine fan data models for tracking campaign performance and surface actionable insights
- Regular reporting on channel performance, identifying trends, learnings, and growth opportunities
- Implement and uphold clean and organized CRM data practices, aligning with data privacy requirements and organizational standards
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Partner with a small team of specialists, technologists and external vendors
- Provide CRM/email training and guidance to departments using these tools for outreach
- Champion fan-first communication strategies and support broader organizational goals
- Partner cross-functionally to refine journey and campaign strategies based on performance data, fan insights, and evolving objectives.
Background & Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of CRM and email marketing experiences ideally in the sports and entertainment industry
- Must have proven experience and expertise with CRM platforms, specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud and other marketing automation tools
- Strong analytical skills with experience translating data into campaign improvements, insights and stories
- Familiarity with fan engagement strategies and audience segmentation tactics
- Proven experience developing and executing compelling emails, newsletters and customized fan journeys to varied audiences
Position Requirements:
- The majority of work may be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment
- Must be capable of maintaining focus and attention to detail during long periods of analysis and strategic planning
- Work hours may vary but our office is currently working on a hybrid 4-day a week in office model
Education:
- BS/BA degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
- Preferred but not necessary – proficient in speaking and writing in more than one language and proficient in Salesforce Marketing & Data Cloud, Microsoft Word, PPT, and Excel
- Proficiency in using HTML
Expectations:
- Passionate about email marketing and keeping up with industry standards including but not limited to data privacy and accessibility requirements
- Strong copywriting skills with an adaptable voice and tone tailored to diverse accounts
- Demonstrated creativity in developing compelling communications and engaging newsletters for targeted email marketing campaigns
- Self-starter who is highly passionate about the Olympic and Paralympic movement
- Skilled at working quickly, being resourceful, and paying attention to details

The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 - $130,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
