Role Overview
Legend Biotech is seeking an IT Manufacturing Automation Intern as part of the Product & Corporate Systems IT team based in Somerset, NJ. In this role, the IT Manufacturing Automation Intern will contribute to the IT implementation for manufacturing automation in cell therapy production. This role involves advanced automation manufacturing systems, coordinating between technical and business partners to ensure alignment, and working with integrations between computerized systems. The IT Manufacturing Automation Intern will be able to make valuable contributions to the integration of innovative manufacturing systems while being in a cutting-edge technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Mapping: Assist in gathering requirements to translate business and manufacturing process knowledge for technical implementations.
- System Integration: Engage with external vendors and internal customers to identify system integration points to align with operational goals.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues to document IT related system issues.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Process experts, Quality, Operations, and IT.
- Documentation: Draft detailed records of systems for work instructions and standard operating procedures related to IT functionality.
Requirements
- Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Prior experience working in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred, but not required.
- Effective verbal and written communication for collaborating with internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- On-site presence at the Legend Biotech Somerset, NJ facility
