Legend Biotech is seeking a Sr. Specialist, IT Application Support as part of the IT team based in Raritan, NJ. 

Role Overview

 We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Sr. Specialist, IT Application Support to provide critical support to business users at our manufacturing site. This role involves providing Level 1 support for IT applications, assisting users with transactional issues, transactional issues, password resets, and system access, as well as troubleshooting application-related problems. The specialist will work closely with the S4 Support Engineer to resolve SAP S/4HANA-related issues efficiently and coordinate with the Service Manager for Priority 1 incidents to ensure timely resolution. 

The role also includes conducting user training, preparing documentation, assisting with testing new system functionalities, and acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) during off-business hours to support critical business operations. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Provide Level 1 support for IT applications, addressing transactional issues, system access, and troubleshooting system errors.
  • Guide users on application usage and best practices, resolving queries and improving user adoption.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Enterprise application (S4)-related issues, collaborating with the application Support team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with the Application Support Team, JV Partner Application Lead, and Service Provider for issue resolution, escalations, and system improvements.
  • Work closely with vendors and external support teams to drive timely resolutions and system
    enhancements.
  • Create documentation, including user guides and FAQs.
  • Assist in testing new system functionalities and enhancements before deployment.
  • Serve as the POC during off-business hours for IT support, ensuring seamless business continuity.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to manage Priority 1 issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Help maintain detailed records of incidents, solutions, and process improvements. 

Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in IT application support, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting or a similar role within IT, life sciences, or healthcare.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional and cross-organizational initiatives.
  • Experience working with JV or external partnerships.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, MES, or other manufacturing platforms.
  • Knowledge of Computerized System Validation procedures
  • Knowledge of cell therapy specific needs in manufacturing is a plus
  • Work in a matrixed team for project execution and delivery
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a customer-service approach.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including external service providers and JV partners.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Willingness to be on-call outside business hours as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.
  • Experience with manufacturing operations and workflows.
