Role: Conceptual Integrated Designer

About the role:

As a Conceptual Integrated Designer, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to crafting visually compelling and impactful designs for a leading insurance brand.

What you will be doing:

  • Create inspiring and exciting content across digital and print channels – from repurposing or reformatting of assets to ideation.
  • Develop design projects throughout their lifecycle, from concept to execution, incorporating feedback and making necessary design adjustments.
  • Proactively input into creative brainstorming sessions and project kick-offs, collaborating with the Lead Designer to transform briefs into detailed creative responses.
  • Act as brand guardian to ensure that the client’s brand guidelines, partners and audience are correctly and respectfully represented.
  • Keenly evaluate and monitor industry trends and brands, research industry developments in branding and marketing to be at the forefront of creative excellence.
  • Develop an effective and collaborative working relationship with colleagues and multiple client stakeholders.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Line-management responsibility for the Creative Artworker; ability to oversee and QC their work in line with the brief and brand guidelines. Lead by example and upskill them where necessary. 
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 5+ years of design experience across digital and print media in an agency or within an in-house marketing department, ideally within the B2B landscape.
  • An innate creative flair and strategic thinking, demonstratable experience of strong art direction and concepting skills – full of ideas across multi-platforms, balancing business needs with impactful and powerful ideas. 
  • A keen eye for detail and solid knowledge of design fundamentals – including accessibility, content hierarchy, layouts, imagery and textual stylisation and typography.
  • In-depth knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Adobe XD, Adobe Express and Adobe After Effects (including core motion design principles like editing and storyboarding).
  • Excellent presentation skills. Ability to clearly and effectively articulate and pitch in creative ideas and concepts to a wide range of client stakeholders is a must.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, teamed with an aptitude for managing multiple varying sized projects seamlessly.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal input, generating design concepts and innovative new ideas, often to tight deadlines.
  • Previous line-management experience.
