The EHS Field Services Specialist is responsible for instilling and fostering a proactive EHS conscious culture and drive operational ownership of OmniOn Power’s Environment, Health, & Safety programs through all levels of the service organization within the United States.
This position will be in Plano, TX and will report to the Global EHS and Sustainability Director.
Responsibilities
As the EHS Field Services Specialist your typical duties/responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for day-to-day support and guidance of field service to ensure the proper EHS regulations and procedures are adhered to at field project sites.
- Provide day-to-day EHS support for service activities and projects.
- Support and monitor the Projects and Services ITO process and operations to ensure completion of EHS Plans.
- Oversee all customer contractor safety portals and maintain approved scores for all active customers.
- Conduct audits of the projects and service teams at customer sites to ensure compliance with policies/procedures.
- Provide immediate direct support to field service employees that work at customer sites.
- Lead and/or participate in incident investigations and ensure appropriate root causes are identified and corrective actions are developed / implemented.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy; the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters.
- Utilize internal/external sources to provide resolution to any EHS issues.
- Interface with other OmniOn EHS professionals to cross validate best practices and standardize processes.
- Explain information and regulation with the aim of developing skills to bring team members to consensus.
- Responsible for obtaining clearance to access customer sites.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma with 5 of years relevant Health & Safety experience.
- Two years of experience in field-based EHS protocols.
- Ability and willingness travel up to 50%
- Proficiency with computer tools (MS Office software programs, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
- Experience in Risk Assessment Process, in High-Risk Operations, and Hazard Recognition.
- Experience in Injury and Illness recordkeeping per OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
- Advanced computer skills, primarily with MS Office software programs, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and able to navigate internet and intranet tools.
