Graphic Designer

Remote, Canada ONLY / Contract position, 6 months term

 

This is your chance to be a part of one of the world’s leading interactive entertainment companies!

The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Brand and Art Direction team, as well as other designers, to create impactful assets for key projects. This ranges from working on the initial brief right through to final execution…and everything in between. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for video games to join the world of PlayStation. We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer who has a strong understanding of Branding, Concept Creation, and Digital/Print Production. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support and collaborate with Sr. Designers and Art Directors on campaign assets and/or client-driven requests (print/digital)
  • Serve as the expert voice for design and PlayStation partners
  • Advise clients on best design strategies and practices
  • Support the design and production process from mood, concept, and palette to final production, specs and delivery.
  • Must be able to set realistic deadlines and deliver work on time and with creative excellence
  • Present design work to the team, partners and/or stakeholders clearly and effectively
  • Be a team player who is open to collaboration and creative feedback/discussions from our internal teams and/or client
  • Support with localization and export of creative assets using existing templates. 
  • Resize & adapt product artwork into various formats and sizing, meeting regular publishing requirements. 
  • Ensure that creative output adheres to PlayStation brand and design principles. 
  • Most importantly — don’t be afraid to ask for help! We want to make sure you are set up for success

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming culture
  • At least 3-5 years of directly related creative design experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Great knowledge in digital and print media
  • Demonstrates strong skills in social media and brand marketing design
  • Experience in strategic and conceptual graphic design spanning across branding, typography, color, iconography, and/or digital illustration
  • Strongly-tapped into the latest design trends and artwork
  • Effective communicator across multi-disciplinary departments
  • A person who is flexible and a great multi-tasker 
  • Must have a great, positive attitude and open to feedback from client/leadership
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Feel comfortable pushing boundaries and defining the sandbox
  • Collaborative mind-set and recognition that good ideas come from anywhere
  • Entrepreneurial spirit demonstrating ownership and initiative
  • Strong project and design management skills

PLUS

  • Proficiency with Figma 
  • Good understanding of UX/UI is a plus
