Senior Manager, Marketing Finance

Location: Virtual, remote worker location possible

Studio Business Group (SBG) is looking for Senior Manager Marketing Finance who will be responsible for review and optimization of marketing budget on SBG titles ensuring maximization of value for a marketing investment. The role will play a pivotal role ensuring marketing investment is optimized within individual project P&L as well as within overall SBG portfolio and is aligned with SBG strategic goals and targets. The role will report to Finance Director, Publishing and will work closely with SBG Publishing organization, especially marketing and collaborate with many internal teams ensuring analysis are robust and deep and recommendations sound. The role will require strong understanding and experience of marketing value analysis and will require be both analytical as well having ability to influence stakeholders as well as form and present recommendations to senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Oversight: Lead the evaluation and optimization of marketing investments to maximize attribution, incrementality and overall value and profitability
  • Financial Analysis: perform financial and value analysis on marketing investment utilizing financial metrics such as RoI and other
  • Change Management:  develop, implement and continuously improve methodology for assessing marketing value in SBG Publishing organisation
  • Budget Management: Partner with marketing leadership to develop, manage, and optimize marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to high-impact channels.
  • Performance Analysis: Oversee the design and implementation of advanced financial models to analyze marketing performance, assess effectiveness, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage financial and marketing data to provide actionable insights, forecasts, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between finance, marketing, publishing, commercial insights and analytics, and other departments to ensure alignment on goals, data accuracy, and performance metrics.
  • Scenario Planning: Lead scenario analyses to understand the financial impact of marketing initiatives, campaigns, and channel mix strategies.
  • Executive Reporting: Deliver clear and concise presentations to executive leadership, highlighting key trends, insights, and recommendations for strategic decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field. An MBA, CPA, or CFA is strongly preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in financial analysis, marketing analytics, or related fields. Part of that experience preferred to come from similar role in other publishing organisation.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Demonstrated influencing skills allowing to create impact in the organisation and drive value thinking
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Resilience under pressure including from senior stakeholders
  • Self-starter, showing initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Experience in gaming industry and/or is an advantage but not a must;
  • Strong work ethic and confidentiality a must

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$162,100 - $243,100 USD
