Role Overview:

The Finance Systems & Data Infrastructure (FSDI) team is dedicated to empowering global financial decision-making by providing reliable, scalable, and innovative systems and data infrastructure. Our mission is to deliver seamless integration, timely insights, and secure access to critical financial data, ensuring alignment and robust financial controls across all business units, subsidiaries, and territories. We are committed to continually enhancing our systems to drive operational excellence and support strategic growth on a global scale.

The Finance Systems Lead role connects with regional and territory leads to understand and analyze issues, distinguishing between incidents and enhancement needs. They gather detailed facts (e.g., Business Requirements Documents), and assess the impact of system changes. Efforts lead to working with the SAP Expert Consultants that partner with IT to build solutions. The Finance systems role would then work with the business to ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for proper solution sign-off.

Communication and collaboration are facilitated through platforms like Wrike and ServiceNow. This structured interaction ensures alignment, efficiency, and continuous improvement across finance systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as the primary liaison with regional accounting members to understand and address their issues with system processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Finance System Leads in the US and Japan to drive global system synergies and alignment.
  • Lead and track all issues raised by the Accounting team using the Wrike project management system, ensuring prioritization and regular status updates.
  • Facilitate recurring sync sessions with global stream leads from the Accounting team to review ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring alignment on priorities and global strategies.
  • Identify and implement the optimal solution for system-related issues:
  • Provide SAP education and training for Accounting team members as needed.
  • Facilitate discussions with Accounting team members to drive vital process changes.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to document and define requirements for system enhancements.
  • Partner with SAP Expert Consultants to coordinate and finalize the technical design of system enhancements in collaboration with the IT team.
  • Be responsible for and ensure effective User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by Accounting team members, ensuring proper business sign-off for system enhancements.
  • Represent the Finance Systems team in multi-division system enhancement projects, participating in recurring working sessions and status meetings in collaboration with relevant SAP Expert Consultants.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in handling finance systems within a large-scale, multinational organization.
  • Deep understanding of financial processes and data infrastructure, particularly in relation to ERP systems.

  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP, financial planning software), with an ability to use technology for efficient finance operations.
  • Consistent track record of leading projects, collaborating with internal customers, and ensuring delivery of results in a timely manner.
  • Experience in a matrixed, global environment, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and priorities.
