Position Overview
The Data & Business Intelligence Manager is a strategic, hands-on leader responsible for developing the BI strategy/roadmap and delivering projects that turn raw data into actionable insights. This role manages the reporting and data visualization branch of the team, ensuring data integrity, availability, and relevance to guide analytics-based decisions. The Data & Business Intelligence Manager connects technical data assets with business needs. They collaborate to improve data models, reports, and dashboards. This position empowers the analytics team by delivering innovative reports, dashboards, and visualizations, playing a key role in the company’s growth and performance.
What You'll Do
- Lead the reporting and visualization team to develop and refine data models, visualizations, and performance dashboards.
- Build the future of BI by developing the roadmap and strategic vision for the function, aligning with business leadership and the company's strategic priorities.
- Oversee the data acquisition process, ensuring quality, reliability, and relevance in data feeds from internal and external sources.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to identify and implement improvements to existing reports, dashboards, and visualizations for better decision-making.
- Work closely with the Data Engineering team to automate data feeds and support data infrastructure integration.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data models, reporting, and dashboard tools.
- Facilitate feedback collection across functions to identify new data source opportunities and align work you're doing with business objectives.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
Who You Are
- Demonstrated experience in data visualization, reporting, and business intelligence, applying tools like Tableau, Power BI, and SQL.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing data or analytics teams, particularly in consumer products or direct-to-consumer sectors.
- Proficiency in data architecture, data governance, and standard methodologies for data integrity and accessibility.
- Outstanding communication skills with a team-oriented approach to continuous progress.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methods, with a foundation in data analysis principles.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications in data visualization or business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in data management or business intelligence, ideally within consumer products, retail, or direct-to-consumer industries.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
Salary Range
$130,000 - $160,000 USD
