The Role
As the Business Development Representative (BDR) Team Lead, you will serve as a Player Coach. Responsibilities will include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through strategic outreach. You will additionally be responsible for supporting business development strategy, creating and implementing new messaging, and coaching team members.
This position can be based in either of our offices in Lexington, SC, or Ottawa ON, or performed remotely from a home office. For candidates located near one of these offices, a hybrid work model will be required. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet/exceed pipeline generation goals.
- Provide day to day coaching & professional development, including weekly 1:1 meetings.
- Work with the Demand Generation Manager to build, manage and track outbound campaigns.
- Along with your team, qualify leads based on specific guidelines and criteria, ensuring the effective use of CRMs.
- Consistently review and optimize the BDR program across all our KPIs and deliver ROI using salesforce data analytic tools and reports.
- Achieve all performance targets for meetings held and opportunities generated.
- Manage the scorecard to track and communicate weekly goals to drive consistent performance week over week.
- Become an integral part of Marketing and Sales leadership.
What You'll Bring
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- 1 year in sales management role or 3 years in business development with proven results, preferably in the Public Safety Industry
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce) and sales processes
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business development strategies
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the abilities to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and executive leadership
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel as needed
