In this role you have the opportunity to
Lead the Engineering Management agenda in BEES Platform, and to be responsible for the software development teams management, performance & stability and engineering metrics.
As part of our Engineering vertical, you will work closely with the senior product & engineering leadership on providing visibility on the product’s engineering strategy, highlights, lowlights and action plans
- Be the one who knows best your microservices = business area;
- Be part of a team as technical leadership;
- Responsible for the technical scope delivered by the team;
- Keep the pace with the roadmap and its milestones;
- Bring your ideas and knowledge to the product's technical architecture;.
- Responsible for People management and development;
- Identify and raise technical risk and collaborate with the best decisions;
- Helps team member to evolve in their career;
- Help the Program Team to remove impediments the team may face during the Sprint;
- Keep constant alignment with Solutions Architect;
- Have the ownership feeling about your product, to be capable to help the Product team to evolve it in the best way possible;
- Be constantly challenged to create world-class solutions;
- Lead technical teams composed of engineering coordinators/tech leads, software engineers and quality assurance engineers;
- Manage and mentor the engineering team, supporting their career growth and performance, developing strengths and improvement areas, etc;
- Be passionate about continuous improvements and learning mindset and cascade this mindset to the team.
- University degree in courses related to computing such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Systems Analysis and Development.
- Broad/ Previous professional experience in software development;
- Solid understanding of computer concepts (data structures, networking, concurrency, memory management, and algorithm analysis);
- Able to communicate in both technical and non-technical manners
- Experience in programming languages used by the team, API communication, debugging
- Strong technical skills (architecture, programming, analysis, debugging, code refactoring)
- Experience with DevOps tools and platforms (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- English - fluent level
- Microservices dev (RESTful/JSON, Spring Boot Java)
- Scrum and Agile methodology knowledge
- API/Microservices Driven development
- Test Automation
- Proficiency with automated tests using JUnit, Jmeter, Cypress, etc.
- Experience with Queues (RabbitMQ or Kafka).
- Know the difference between SaaS, PaaS, IaaS
- Good knowledge with relation and non-relation cloud databases & structures preferably with Atlas MondoDB.
- Experience with security protocols (JWT, OAUTH, etc.)
- Familiar with data engineering and data modeling.
- You´re passionate about software development and knows how to ensure its quality;
- You have experience with both front-end and back-end software development and microservices;
- You´re motivated by building up back-end services and is aware of its different architectures;
- Experienced working in an environment which uses and stimulates DevOps culture;
- You´re creative when solving problems and is continuously seeking improvements for processes and solutions;
- You can communicate clearly with your team and the company to identify issues and demands;
- You have the autonomy to recognize the current and new priorities, evaluating the impact of their outcomes in the final result
