As a Senior Incident Response Analyst within the Global Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC), you will serve as a subject matter expert in identifying, analyzing, and containing sophisticated cyber threats. This position is vital to safeguarding The Volvo Group’s digital infrastructure by leading high-level investigations and driving continuous operational improvements across the cybersecurity landscape. In addition to your technical contributions, you’ll also play a mentoring role, helping to elevate the team’s analytical capabilities and response maturity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the analysis and resolution of advanced security events identified through tools such as SIEM, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and network intrusion systems (IDS/IPS)
Triage and handle escalated security incidents from junior analysts, ensuring timely containment and coordinated remediation
Conduct thorough investigations of cybersecurity threats including ransomware attacks, unauthorized data access, and insider risks
Perform forensic analysis to gather and maintain evidence aligned with compliance, legal, and internal reporting standards
Deliver comprehensive incident documentation, including root cause analysis and strategic remediation guidance
Leverage threat intelligence to detect patterns, tactics, and indicators of compromise relevant to the enterprise environment
Mentor and support less experienced SOC team members, promoting skill development and effective collaboration
Partner with cross-functional teams in IT and business units to implement defensive measures and enhance incident response workflows
Contribute to the evolution of SOC operations by recommending enhancements to tools, playbooks, and detection methodologies
Identify and communicate areas for improvement in detection and response effectiveness to SOC leadership
Salary Range: $110,000-117,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
