SUMMARY: The SMB Account Manager is the foundation of our sales team supporting mid-market SMB customers. The SMB Account Manager is dedicated to supporting external customer and internal customers including all customer interactions, requests, and inquiries. This role is focused on customer retention, organic growth, and demand generation with existing clients to upgrade and upsell legacy solutions to solve business problems based on current technology capabilities and New Era strategic solution offerings. A successful SMB Account Manager is organized, communicates effectively, and enjoys a fast paced, challenging environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES include but not limited to:
- Manage opportunities through the entire sales cycle, working with cross-functional teams as necessary, and serve as the primary customer contact mid-market SMB customers.
- Lead demand generation activities with existing SMB customers to upsell and cross-sell strategic solutions from New Era’s strategic solution portfolio.
- Achieve monthly and daily goals:
- Researched and aligned calls per day to existing SMB customers based on existing solutions and upgrades/upsells/organic growth expectations
- Meetings per Month (phone and F2F) – Target agenda is established prior to meeting. All information notes post meeting managed with CRM.
- Qualified Opportunities per month
- Develop and cultivate client relationships with both existing customers.
- Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Update CRM with accurate information regarding customer profiles, opportunity information and contract information.
- Support agreement renewals of mid-market SMB customers with delivered services and solutions, as required
- Participate collaboratively in SMB and Sales Operations team meetings, as required
COMPETENCIES:
- General understanding of Technology services and offerings in a business environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM
- Understanding of how to leverage LinkedIn and other platforms in social selling
- Exceptional organizational skills and high energy
- Must be able to ask probing questions and gather information/research
- Must be ambitious, persistent, and consistent
- Ability to focus on a goal and achieve that goal
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- BSc in Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred
- Proven work experience in business operations, sales operations, or inside sales
- Proven strong analytical and organizational skills
Below is the pay range of this position for considered candidates based on qualifications and experience.
Pay Range
$70,000 - $75,000 USD
