Role: Community Manager and Content Creator

Location: Chiswick, England, United Kingdom

 

About the role:

As the owner of some of the world’s biggest whisky brands, the client is seeking a fresh creative thinker who lives and breathes social media to help amplify its iconic whisky brands through their global social channelsThe Social & Community Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the global social channels, crafting compelling social content calendars, engaging with our online community and bringing the brand’s voice to life on social. You’ll be passionate about identifying social trends and building communities, using your knowledge of platform algorithms and social listening to create content that resonates with our global audience and conveys the wider brand world in relevant and engaging ways. 

What you will be doing:

  • Channel & Community Management: Community Management of IG, FB, X, YT & Pinterest + general housekeeping. Pro-active and reactive engagement with audiences, publishing and management of monthly content calendars, creating asset overview docs. Keeping up to date with platform developments and recommending ways to use new features.  
  • Creative Concepting and Content Capture: Ideation and concepting for monthly IG stories, reactive and key calendar moment content. Concepting and capturing low-fi content for Reels and Stories. Working with the in-house studio to develop social content. 
  • Copywriting: Translate the brand’s TOV into engaging social media captions for posts across all social channels.
  • Insights Reporting: Comfortable working with data insight to refine content plans. Setting and monitoring KPIs, tracking performance metrics, and being agile in optimising our content output accordingly.
  • Content Toolkit Deployment: Supplying creative assets and social recommendations to global market teams.
  • Outreach: Keep an eye on market, competitors, trends/insights to feed into overarching social strategy, social media updates, etc. Reach out and engage with relevant creators, artists and industry figures to grow the brand’s online presence.  
  • Attendance: Contribute to weekly client digital team catch-ups. Liaise with internal Media team to implement the paid strategy monthly. Attend the client office 2 days per week to sit with the brand team. 
  • Digital support (supported by IT & CMS team): Content management and CMS uploading. ECRM planning – assisting with the rollout of the monthly newsletter.  
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

 What you need to be great in this role:

  • Brand and/or agency experience in social media role for B2C brands. 
  • A strong knowledge of social media channels, social culture & digital creativity 
  • Strong social copywriting skills across channels
  • Proactive mindset and confidence in presenting creative ideas 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluent English language
  • Strong organisation skills, can deliver high-quality creative outputs to deadlines 
  • Familiarity working with CMS platforms and social insights tools  
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud is advantageousbut not mandatory 
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter who can manage multiple stakeholders within a large organisation  
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role

 This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office in Chiswick Business Park. It is a client-facing role so will require confidence in presenting ideas, a proactive attitude and organisational excellence
