About Slate
Slate is a new US Electric Vehicle company transforming the battery electric vehicle space.
Who we are looking for:
Slate is looking for an energetic and organized Fleet Business Development Representative to join our growing team.
What you get to do:
- You will be a key direct sales professional presenting our electric vehicle products. You will be instrumental in the growth of Slate and help build out our B2B sales organization from the ground up. This role will be focused on top-of-funnel business development and sales development activity, with responsibility for pursuing new fleet customer opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead-generation.
- Create, implement and iterate outbound sales strategies to reach potential customers in established and new verticals
- Manage inbound leads and conduct discovery calls with prospects to screen for fit and present our solutions
- Help build and track our pipeline using customer relationship technology and report on critical metrics
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to generate leads and ultimately sales
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales organizations to align tactics and provide direct customer feedback to the rest of the company
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, sales or business development
- You have excellent prospecting, time management, networking, and relationship building skills
- You are known for your creative problem-solving skills, can craft unique solutions and present complex material effectively and are comfortable working without assigned swim lanes in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
- Highly motivated, gritty, self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic white space environment and able to work through roadblocks internally and externally
- Nice to have: Experience within fleet electrification, transportation, or energy industries and ability to speak to the challenges across the automotive fleet industry
- Nice to have: Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
