The Finance Data and Reporting (FDR) team within the Studios Business Group (SBG) is focused on streamlining the relevant data and reporting infrastructure to provide speedy and easy access to the relevant data and metrics needed for delivering strategic insights and recommendations, and for facilitating informed business decisions to achieve our financial objectives.

The FDR team is looking for a Finance Data Analyst to help streamline the data flows and related data pipelines, and drive continuous improvement, standardization, speed, and automation of end-to-end financial data management. The Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity and assist in implementing data governance practices. They will work in collaboration with the enterprise data team in complementing the existing data, designing and maintaining ETLs/ELTs, and developing data models. They will work on financial and operational data to support a variety of global teams with their data and BI needs.

Work you’ll be doing

As a Data Analyst in the FDR team, you will:

  • Collaborate with the enterprise data infrastructure team and complement their efforts in providing the finance team with easy access to relevant data

  • Collaborate with the broader SBG Finance team members to improve data models that feed the business intelligence tools

  • Streamline the existing data processes in use for reporting

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes from a variety of sources to Snowflake Data Warehouse

  • Monitor ETL/ELT performance and identify ways to streamline processes and reduce time or resource load

  • Design a data quality framework, and implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and matches across systems

  • Create and maintain relevant process documentation for all data management processes along with documenting mapping of data across sources

  • Create user documentation and a data dictionary for all the relevant data across various data environments in a Wiki to allow for the effective use of available data

  • Support BI analysts in building highly functional and appealing reports/dashboards with the creation of advanced SQL queries

  • Support BI Analysts with report performance optimization

  • Work on ad hoc data reporting requests and perform other role-related duties as assigned

Qualifications you have

  • 4+ years of experience working with ETL/ELT centered around Snowflake; proficient with ETL processes and industry leading ETL tools

  • Experienced in designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems; advanced knowledge of ETL best practices

  • Advanced knowledge of database schema design, dimensional data modeling, and data warehouse architecture (4+ Years)

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (4+ Years)

  • Experience in troubleshooting data integrity issues and creating frameworks to avoid/catch them

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

  • Intermediate knowledge of Python

  • Experience with Tableau/Domo/Looker/PowerBI

Additional skills you have

  • Proven ability to learn new tools/environments

  • Comfortable working in a global matrix-based team with a varied set of customer groups

  • Analytical orientation and strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills, demonstrated by the ability to structure an issue and analyze alternative solutions

  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

  • Process-oriented with great documentation skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service

  • Self-starter with the ability to take things to the next level

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines as required

Other skills that may be beneficial to have

  • Ab Initio

  • Alteryx

  • Familiarity with finance data and reporting systems such as SAP, COGNOS, etc

  • JIRA & Confluence experience

$47 - $71 USD
