The Business Operations team (aka “BizOps”) brings operating rigor and accountability to BILL’s company-wide priorities, while enabling business leaders to deliver on their most impactful initiatives. We’re a tight-knit team of consultants, strategists, and operators who are reliable, believe relationships matter, demand excellence, and are focused on driving scale and leverage - and we’re looking for our next teammate! 

In this role, you’ll join as an early member of our Business Operations team, helping play a critical role in helping define the Business Operations Function and partnering closely with the Head of Business Operations. You will be responsible for driving the business vision, developing the strategy to move our business forward and leading internal teams to complete mission critical initiatives. While this position will work on projects across BILL, it will focus primarily on our Accounts Payable Subscription business unit - BILL’s flagship product which automates financial operations for 150K+ Small and Mid-sized businesses. This role will work closely with our General Manager of the AP Business Unit, acting as their right hand person to build strategy, run the business, and drive execution across a number of key cross-functional projects. Potential project areas could be on sales funnel optimization, root cause analyses of attrition, development of business cases for our annual financial planning process, and partnership with Analytics to project monthly performance based on pacing.

At its core, this role will connect strategy to action and lead a number of impactful initiatives in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone with an action-bias and interest in working for a leading company in the Financial Technology space.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, scope and drive multiple concurrent critical projects and initiatives for BILL by partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Prepare briefings and analyses on recent trends in the industry and competitive dynamics
  • Lead/facilitate cross functional teams to get work done, driving recommendations to execution
  • Planning and facilitating executive reviews, including Strategic Planning sessions & Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Lead change management efforts across the organization
  • Communicate findings and make recommendations from initiatives to senior management
  • Drive operational excellence in the organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improvements across the business

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 12+  years of experience in Management Consulting, Business Operations or a similar analytical function. Experience in SaaS, eCommerce, or Financial Technology space a plus
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with a bias towards action who can thrive in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, high-growth environment
  • Ability to think strategically with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute / operationalize the plan in collaboration with other teams
  • Skilled generalist who can quickly ramp up on new topics, build credibility across teams, and actionize strategic recommendations
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders in a rapidly scaling business.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills, experience with presenting to executive leadership
  • Strong business acumen and analytical mindset with ability to identify metrics and data to back up strategy, programs and ideas.
  • Experience in Strategic Planning or management of Quarterly Business Review processes a plus

The estimated salary  range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role.  Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range

$172,600 - $216,300 USD
