Based in Florida and Texas, our firm specializes in personal injury, family law, and homeowners insurance disputes. We pride ourselves on treating each case with the dedication and attention it deserves, understanding that our clients rely on us during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Under the leadership of founding attorneys Dana and Alejandro Sasieta, along with their skilled team, Sasieta Law focuses on achieving results with compassion and professionalism. We strive to make legal help accessible and human-centered, ensuring that every client is more than just a case number. We believe in direct communication, ensuring that clients speak directly with experienced attorneys who are committed to fighting for their rights and future. Our work extends beyond the courtroom, as we aim to impact our community positively.
The Legal Assistant at Sasieta Law plays a vital role in keeping our Personal Injury team moving—especially on the closing and reductions side of the case. This position was created as part of our growth strategy to handle increasing case volume efficiently and eliminate bottlenecks that slow down resolutions. By owning backend case progression tasks such as medical bills and records follow-up, lien/subrogation tracking and reductions support, client status communications, and settlement closing coordination, this role directly improves turnaround time, helps cases reach resolution faster, and strengthens the overall client experience.
What you’ll do:
- Medical Coordination: Obtain and track all necessary medical bills and records from various providers to ensure comprehensive case preparedness.
- Insurance Management: Transmit medical bills and records to health insurance companies, manage subrogation matters, and ensure timely payments.
- Lien Negotiation: Efficiently coordinate and negotiate lien and balance reductions in collaboration with health and insurance providers.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients in both English and Spanish to gather documents, authorizations, and relevant information as needed.
- Case Management: Open claims, prepare and send letters of representation, and maintain organized case files within Clio’s case management system.
- Workflow Support: Assist with end-of-case tasks to alleviate workflow bottlenecks and ensure cases progress smoothly.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly meetings and coordinate closely with the Personal Injury team to align on case progress and updates.
What we’re looking for:
- Bilingual Proficiency: Strong spoken English is essential for phone calls with hospitals and insurers.
- Experience: Possess 2-3 years of relevant experience in personal injury legal assistance, with a strong focus on medical billing and insurance coordination.
- Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate professionally with hospitals, insurers, and clients, demonstrating attention to detail and precision.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using Clio for case management, along with Outlook and Microsoft Teams for internal communication.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to handle high volumes of cases, maintain detailed records, and manage deadlines effectively.
Why you should work here:
- Impactful Work: Join a firm where your contributions directly accelerate case resolutions and improve client outcomes.
- Collaborative Team Environment: Work closely with a dedicated team and leadership, fostering a supportive and respectful work culture.
- Professional Growth: Have the opportunity to develop your legal skills and knowledge within a dynamic, client-focused environment.
- Mission-Driven Firm: Be part of a firm that values advocacy with heart, ensuring clients receive personalized and compassionate legal counsel.
Additional perks:
- Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a salary range between $1,500–$2,000 USD/month, reflecting your skills and contributions.
- Flexible Work Arrangements: Benefit from a global role offering the flexibility to work remotely while being part of a cohesive team. Schedule: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (with a 1-hour lunch), aligned to the firm’s business hours
- Professional Tools: Access to industry-standard tools like Clio, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams to enhance your workflow and productivity.
