
IT Vendor Manager (Contractor)
Legend Biotech is seeking an IT Vendor Manager (Contractor) as part of the IT team based in Somerset, NJ.
Role Overview
This role will take place from May 19, 2025 - December 31, 2025. We are seeking a result-driven IT Vendor Manager (Contractor) to support our IT organization in strengthening vendor governance, optimizing vendor performance, and ensuring compliance with service, legal and regulatory obligations. This role will lead initiatives related to vendor lifecycle management, vendor evaluations, performance monitoring, and SLA compliance, working cross-functionally with IT, Legal, Procurement, and Business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Lifecycle & Governance
- Manage the entire IT vendor lifecycle, from onboarding, performance tracking to offboarding.
- Build and maintain a centralized repository of vendor contracts, compliance records and KPIs.
- Develop documentation and workflows to support scalable IT vendor management processes and procedures.
- Vendor Evaluation & Selection
- Facilitate IT vendor assessments and contribute to selection process aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Lead due diligent activities for new and renewing vendors, including capability, compliance, and risk assessment.
- Assist corporate Procurement in RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFIs (Request for Information), evaluating responses, negotiation of contracts, SLAs (Service Level Agreements), KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and other procurement processes to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Performance & SLA Monitoring
- Monitor IT vendor performance KPIs, SLAs, and service outcomes
- Drive continuous service improvements by analyzing vendor performance data, incident trends, user feedback, and industry benchmark.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize IT vendor spend and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) without compromising service quality.
- Partner with ITPMO and corporate Finance to ensure alignment with budget and forecast planning.
- Compliance, Risk & Escalations
- Ensure vendors comply with all contractual obligations, internal policies, and external regulations.
- Support corporate Procurement and Third-party Risk Assessment (TPRM) on IT vendor risk assessment and drive corrective actions for non-compliance or underperformance.
- Act as a point of escalation for vendor-related issues, coordinating resolutions in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Seven (7) years of experience in IT vendor management or Procurement.
- Proven track record in managing large, complex IT contracts including managed services, contractors, software and hardware.
- Strong knowledge of IT vendor performance management, SLA frameworks, and contract governance.
- Proven ability to identify cost-saving and service improvement opportunities through vendor optimization.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards relevant to IT services.
- Understanding of IT Service Management and Service Delivery best practices.
