Role: Digital Designer 

Location: Putney, London

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Designer supports client briefs through creating powerful, creative and impactful digital content and solutions in line with the brand for a multitude of different projects. You will proactively manage design quality, accuracy and consistency across all creative work.

Working primarily in the digital workspace, the role required is multi-skilled and constantly evolving which will require the individual to have a high level of self-development discipline. They will be required to execute projects of all sizes and deliver to a high standard of creative excellence and skill and successfully manage several competing events at the same time.

 

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

Reporting to the Design Team Lead, you will be part of a 7 strong OLIVER team, delivering every type of print and digital collateral to help support the marketing function for large-scale events.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Deliver on briefs from concept to completion via working collaboratively across teams on ideation, creation and implementation.
  • Staying on track with emerging digital trends and engaging with the wider digital creative community
  • The ability to take complete ownership of projects, including taking brief directly from client, presenting designs to client and managing the project until delivery.
  • Be available to assist the account management and design team with offline design briefs as appropriate
  • A strong understanding of conceptualisation, graphic design, illustration, typography and with a good knowledge of motion graphics and video techniques
  • Demonstrate strong UX/UI and design thinking for the web, digital, ecommerce and social media advertising
  • Define the look and feel for a variety of digital design projects whilst implementing existing brand guidelines and translating overarching brand creative.

 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Highly creative with the ability to produce design collateral within brand guidelines and agreed timescales.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring work is always cross checked with brief and or amends prior to sending.
  • Excellent digital design skills, knowledge and a portfolio that shows digital work
  • Video editing skills in a software such as Premiere Pro (or similar)
  • Motion Graphics skills in a software – ideally After Effects
  • Awareness of emerging digital design trends
  • Understanding of typography, layout, colour and all general graphic design skills
  • A working knowledge of web page design, banner creation, email design and social media asset creation
  • The aptitude to learn new software and programmes efficiently and effectively
  • Good knowledge of digital processes to deliver quality solutions
  • Confident and articulate, with the ability to voice and share ideas and opinions both internally and with clients

SKILLS MUST HAVE:

  • 2 years of relevant experience in:
    • Artwork/Design for print (InDesign &Illustrator)
    • Artwork/Design for Digital assets (See above incl. Photoshop)
    • Motion Graphics (After Effects)
    • Video (Premiere Pro)

SKILLS USEFUL TO HAVE:

  • Have worked in the events, exhibition and conferences sectors.
    • Web Design
    • UX-UI
    • Photography retouching (Photoshop)
    • Illustration
    • Emails
    • Production
