Role: Social Media Manager - 50% Community Management & 50% Content Creation

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands (2 days per week from the office)

Contract: FTC until the end of the year (with a possibility of extension)

About the role:

Are you a social native who’s passionate about crafting engaging social content? Do you have a flair for engaging audiences across social platforms? And are you a foodie, with a love noodles and K-Culture?! If so, you could be just what we’re looking for! We are looking for a special Social Media Manager and Content Creator help launch a noodle brand on social media, using the brand’s unique personality. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate in person with brand team at the Rotterdam office 2 days a week (along with our Strategy, Social, and Creative teams) to generate content while managing the brand’s social presence, end-to-end. From creating short, fast turn-around videos on TikTok, to posting on and driving conversation on Instagram – we're counting on you to create compelling narratives that engage audiences with brand messages. 

What you will be doing:

Overall 

Own the brand’s social media presence from start to finish 

Community engagement and client collaboration 

  • Drive love for the brand through constant social conversation, cultivating a network of brand advocates 
  • Listen and respond to comments, questions, and brand mentions with the fun & unique brand persona.  
  • Plan, ideate and create organic content calendars and reactive content, writing engaging copy and always ensuring platform best practices.
  • Receive and interrogate client briefs, supporting brief development to creative teams and other partners.
  • Present approaches and creative content to clients to get their buy-in. 

Content Creation 

  • Create industry leading TikTok and Instagram content for the brand, driven by an obsession with social media, trend hacking and noodles. 
  • Operate as part of our expert social team and collaborate with strategy & creative. You will shoot and edit social-first content which includes content concepting, calendar planning and developing shot lists, owning the content from conception to delivery.
  • Attend relevant brand events such as shoots, PR events, and influencer meet-ups to capture social content. Monitor feeds for opportunities to interject the brand into trending topics.
  • Craft engaging social media content that aligns with the brand's goals. Responsive to cultural zeitgeist and aware of strategic and creative opportunities to further brand narratives. 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A well-rounded, creative individual who's constantly innovating and initiating. 
  • Is strategically minded with strong editorial skills and judgement  
  • Has a track record of growing TikTok accounts for a youth audience (ideally focussed on food and noodles).
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in social media content creation and management.
  • Comfortable in front of a camera with high enthusiasm for the Foods category.
  • Ability to use social data from post performance to plan new content and optimize approaches.
  • Organised, good at managing own workload and priorities, comfortable with a fast paced every changing environment and proactive in generating ideas off the back of social trends.
  • Use of social media management tools like Sprinklr and understanding the role of paid media and influencers.
  • Excellent written communication skills with proven experience in copywriting.
  • Familiarity with digital trends and popular culture.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and think strategically.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive attitude towards spotting content creation opportunities to help clients achieve ambitions.
  • You’re excited about the integration of Gen AI tools and approach new innovations with energy and curiosity
  • Knowledge of the Instagram and TikTok editing features (Instagram Reels, Adobe Express)
  • Ideally expertise in video and photo editing.
