The position will report to the Creative Director - Americas.

Role Overview: 

As a Senior Digital Designer, you will support the Regional Creative Director in the conception, design, and execution of Digital assets for a diverse range of marketing initiatives and business objectives within the Region. In this role, you will also be responsible for developing and delivering GTM digital assets across various Sol de Janeiro channels and Americas retailer.com markets. This involves conceptualizing visual ideas within the existing Global framework, collaborating with the e-comm design team, and cross-functionally with category counterparts in copy and marketing to elevate our online presence consistently.

You must be a self-starter, problem solver and a critical thinker. You must be able to design with an understanding of messaging hierarchies and partner with copy to ensure that design is communicating the objective. Experience with digital design executions in retail environment, including Sephora, Ulta and Amazon is a bonus.

Overall Responsibilities: 

  • Under the leadership of the Regional CD, this role will provide digital design support to the regional team.
  • Senior digital designer will concept, execute and deliver digital assets for SDJ.COM, Amazon.com, retailer.com, paid media and emails.
  • Ensure that design aligns with the brand guidelines and toolkits provided for campaigns.
  • Be well versed in and continually stay up to date on visual and competitive trends while maintaining digital best practices across all channels within the market.
  • Bridge the gap between marketing objectives and unique consumer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across copy, marketing and DTC teams in receiving and providing feedback to executing with best-in-class creative solutions.
  • Organize and formalize the delivery of completed work to deliver to clients and/or vendors.
  • Partner with project management teams to ensure work is delivered according to market needs.

Job Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • Must be located in NYC and Surrounding Areas
  • This is a temp-to-perm opportunity.
  • BA/BS/BFA degree in Graphic Design or similar.
  • 7+ years of experience working in relevant fields, beauty experience is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of the digital world–experience in e-comm, paid media, and social media.
  • Strong foundation in design including typography, layout and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • A proactive, self-started with the ability to operate independently within a small team.
  • Must be highly collaborative with the ability to understand the objectives of all cross-functional partners and work toward solutions that meet that need and uphold the creative integrity of the brand.
  • Thoughtful, empathetic, and has a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Understanding of motion design and video editing with experience in After Effects, Premiere and Figma.

Salary Range

$100,000 - $110,000 USD

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
