Senior Product Designer

Product Designers at Wrike are responsible for understanding customer problems and delivering effective and beautiful solutions that enable a superior user experience of our product, used by millions of users. This role will require outstanding interaction design skills, good interface design skills along with a strategic mentality to solve for customer and business problems as well as the ability to collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, writers, customer success specialists, and more.

Job Scope and Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to the definition of what creates a superior experience for a customer problem.
  • Understand the intersection of business needs, customer needs, and technical opportunities.
  • Design solutions from concepts to details by working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers.
  • Construct compelling artifacts (wireframes, conceptual diagrams, task flows, storyboards, etc.) that outline present conditions and proposed solutions to realize strategy and encourage innovation within and across the organization.
  • Meet with customers and development partners to test designs and make iterative improvements.
  • Contribute to improvement of product design standards, documentation and processes.
  • Assist or drive customer research activities.
  • Participate or conduct design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos.

Experience Requirements: 

  • Experienced in applying human centered design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using Figma and working with Design Systems.
  • Familiarity with customer research methods.
  • Experience with agile software design methods.
  • Experience working directly in collaboration with PMs and Engineers as part of cross functional teams of Product companies.
  • Ability to visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes or mock-ups to conceptual presentations to highly technical documents and diagrams.
  • Ability to present designs to a wide range of audiences, including software development, quality assurance, learning content development, marketing, and sales.
  • Ability to identify cracks in a complex system, suggest and design improvements, including new features.
  • Competency to clearly and concisely articulate design decisions.
  • Proven hands on experience designing solutions for complex domains

Desirable Skills: 

  • Proven track record of great outcomes in both discovery and delivery of solutions.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and generate ideas rapidly.
  • Ability to prototype experiences with code base prototypes that manipulate datasets and present dynamic content.
  • Expertise to draw conclusions from a dataset.
  • A habit to proactively seek working design solutions in other products, inspire and adopt the best.
  • Software development background.
  • Visual or graphic design background.
  • Experience working on product growth initiatives, such as customer acquisition, activation, upgrade and retention.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Full professional proficiency in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required with the ability to work within all levels of an organization.
  • Decision making and argumentation skills to drive alignment across leadership, sales and marketing teams.
  • Team player with ability to speak up and contribute to the discussion in the team.
  • Open to feedback and ready to react to it.
  • Ability to work autonomously on a project level.
  • Fostering a fun and productive team environment.
