As an Architect, you will play a critical role in guiding technical feature design and managing a full stack team, with a primary focus on frontend engineers for both mobile and web platforms. You will take ownership of understanding business and operational problems and delivering effective solutions. By partnering with business stakeholders, you will transform commercial ideas into tangible changes in the BEES application, always putting the customer first and moving quickly in a dynamic business environment. You will architect simple but scalable solutions in collaboration with the Product organization and local Business Operations. Additionally, you will evaluate and raise the bar for your technical team, participating in select code reviews, and contributing to the code base directly when needed to facilitate increased efficiency and robustness. You will also build out the team and grow their capabilities, mentoring and developing engineering teams on best practices in development.
What you'll do:
- Play a critical role in guiding technical feature design and managing a full stack team including backend but mostly focused on frontend engineers for both mobile and web.
- Take ownership over understanding the business and operational problems at hand and how to best deliver solutions for the team.
- Partner with business stakeholders to transform commercial ideas into tangible changes in the BEES application.
- Put the customer first and move quickly in a dynamic business environment to architect simple but scalable solutions in collaboration with the Product organization and local Business Operations.
- Evaluate and raise the bar for your technical team, participating in select code reviews and contributing to the code base directly when needed in order to facilitate increased efficiency and robustness.
- Build out the team and grow their capabilities; mentor and develop engineering teams on best practices in development.
What you'll need:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar technical field.
- Experience as an architect, tech lead, or engineering manager working with developers in a large enterprise environment or venture-backed tech startup.
- Strong communication skills – able to clearly understand business objectives and translate them into an end-to-end engineering plan.
- Experience with Microservices architectures (RESTful/JSON, Spring Boot, Java, next, express).
- Experience with Swift, familiarity with frameworks like UIKit and SwiftUI.
- Knowledge in Kotlin and Java, experience with Android SDK, Jetpack, and tools like Android Studio.
- Proficiency in technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, Vue.js, nestjs, next, express).
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and possibly GraphQL.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines, Git repository management, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment automation.
- Deep knowledge of design patterns, clean architecture, and SOLID principles to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Experience with microservices, including orchestration, service communication, and dependency management.
- Experience in a scaled Agile & Scrum environment.
