Assistant Store Manager - Melbourne

  • CASETiFY is looking for an entrepreneurial, creative, and passionate Assistant Store Manager. The ideal candidate will hit the ground running, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be detail oriented. They must be a self-starter and a team player with the ability to quickly identify areas of opportunity to create procedures that increase efficiency, scalability and  effectiveness.


Job Description

  • Provide leadership and direction to the store team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Assisting the store manager in overseeing the daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Assist customers in identifying their needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
  • Provide product demonstrations and explanations to customers.
  • Maintain company updated knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies, and product information.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Ensure the store's visual merchandising is appealing and products are aligned with company standards.  
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead and motivate brand representatives  to achieve sales target. 
  • Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to the brand representatives , fostering a positive and productive work environment. 
  • Ensure the store maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, organization; ensure the grooming of the store team is in line with the company standards.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including loss prevention and security measures.
  • Assist the store manager to track and analyze sales performance and sales KPIs.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by setting a high standard and leading by example.
  • Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement sales and promotional activities.
  • Assist in inventory management, including receiving, replenishment, and conducting regular stock counts.


Requirement

  • 3+ years retail frontline experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional shopping experiences.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including sales techniques, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Sensitive to numbers and good analytical skills.  
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions.
