Senior Software Engineer - Gen-AI Application

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Developer with a focus on Developer Productivity and GenAI Applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow in Gen-AI, can learn and pick up new technologies at an amazing speed, understanding and knowledge of Amazon Bedrock, Vector DB, embedding models, and LLMs, along with robust programming skills. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing GenAI applications to enhance developer productivity.

The Impact You Will Have:: 

  • Develop high-quality software design and architecture to improve developer productivity using the latest GenAI technologies.
  • Implement AI-powered applications to support important and high-impact business use cases to promote efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
  • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
  • Review and debug code to ensure the creation of high-quality, robust software.
  • Perform validation and verification testing to ensure software performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to fix and improve products, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Document development phases and monitor systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and apply them to improve developer productivity and GenAI applications.

Who You Are:

  • Experience with AWS services such as: CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Lambda, and Step Functions, Q developer and Bedrock.
  • Experience in software delivery pipelines and CI/CD systems
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go
  • Familiarity with Terraform, IaC, Helm charts
  • A passion for software security and code quality, Github, Copilot experience.
  • Strong communication skills - including the ability to listen to the needs of others and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present effectively in both oral and written presentations
  • Team-oriented approach – can effectively lead a project or participate as an effective team member as well as work cross-functionally with other organizations
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly.
  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude, attention to detail.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits

Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. 

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position, reflected in CAD,  is: 112,000 - 140,000.
