OVERVIEW


The Quality Analyst collaborates with IT staff to identify issues within business and system requirements, create test plans, execute test cases, and report defects. This role is essential in ensuring that systems and software meet quality expectations as well as the needs of customers, both internal and external, in alignment with the client's strategic objectives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute test cases and scripts based on business and system requirements and design documentation.
  • Lead the documentation and maintenance of testing strategies, best practices, plans, and procedures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with a team of Business Analysts, UX Designers, development resources, and other Quality Analysts.
  • Identify, record, and track defects to resolution.
  • Conduct regression testing, performance testing, smoke testing, and stress testing as needed.
  • Document and communicate test results and provide feedback to IT Team and business stakeholders as needed.
  • Contribute to successful implementation, validation, delivery, and adoption of defined solutions.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of quality assurance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently while resourcefully seeking answers and removing obstacles.
  • Remains accountable and consistently meets deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and display strong critical thinking skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment preferred.
  • Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, preferred.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence preferred

 

Physical Demands:

  • Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
  • Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

Below is the pay range of this position for considered candidates based on qualifications and experience.

Pay Range

$53 - $63 USD
