Senior Manager, Media Services
NFL Media is seeking an experienced Media Services leader to help provide oversight and support for all workflows within the media acquisition & media management pipelines. The Senior Manager, Media Services will be responsible for the supervision of all digital media procedures for acquisition, distribution, and archive, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ingest & media administration departments.

Responsibilities
- Management of the ingest and media administration departments, ensuring that both departments remain on task and deliver all media to stakeholders within expected timeframes.
- Lead and manage a media services team, creating an environment that fosters continuous learning, skill expansion, and the adoption of best practices.
- Partner closely with production teams to manage requirements and expectations for file ingest through delivery.
- Communicate best practices to production teams to ensure efficient operation of all workflows.
- Manage LTO tape-based archive workflows to maintain a library of raw media from ENG shoots
- Research and learn new platforms as in-house media asset management tools evolve.
- Stay informed on updated best practices, emerging media trends, and new technologies to incorporate innovative approaches into strategies
- Partner with the scheduling department to optimize departmental schedules while staying within budget.
- Define and create file retention policies based on projects and workflows and ensure those policies are adhered to
- Administration of multiple AWS environments
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of workflow issues in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of media management experience
- 3+ years of managerial experience working in a live production or media-driven environment
- Deep knowledge of and experience with metadata creation, management & remediation best practices
- Knowledge of video, audio, and image encoding formats and industry best practices
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file movement, etc.)
- Experience with complex metadata schemas, organizing large number of media assets, and file naming conventions
- Strong project management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines
- Adaptability and resilience to quick changes in priorities, tools, workflows, and technology
- Experience educating non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple departments
- Experience with common editing programs (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Ability to problem-solve and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Extremely detail-oriented and a team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or certifications preferred – Media Studies, Digital Media & Technology or related field.
- Experience working at a major media network

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- Full-time NFL employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- This role may occasionally be required to work holidays, nights and/or weekends.
Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Salary
$115,000 - $155,000 USD
