Role:  Senior Account Director 8 Month FTC (Role starts from Mid August)

Location:  Kingston upon Thames, England, United Kingdom (2-3 days a week from our Kingston offices)

 

About the role: 

Working in close collaboration with our clients as the Senior Account Director you will develop a complete understanding of the client's consumers, brand, business, and agency network. You will also be the most-attuned agency partner vis-a-vis to their commercial needs, brand objectives and digital requirements to – proactively where possible - advise on brand building comms and campaigns. You will be responsible for client relationships across our UK Foods, Ice Cream, Homecare, Beauty & Wellbeing, and Personal Care brands, and work with the Managing Partner to partner with Senior Clients. Positioned as the key point of contact for the client, you are the lynchpin in our account management team, our brands and for the agency network, representing, protecting, and promoting the Client's services. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Ensuring creative quality: Assessing quality of outputs whether creative or strategic, impact of work in-market and ensuring the highest class of creative and strategic excellence, ideation and innovation. You will champion creativity and make things happen to ensure flawless execution and delivery, on time and in budget. Delivering outstanding, high-impact, effective and efficient execution across media channels across all divisions. 
  • Growth in service uptake:  Spearheading growth in client awareness and uptake in the client’s network services. Actively seeking out opportunities to provide solutions to client's challenges Measured in the capabilities we are providing as a service to individual clients.  
  • Growth Enablement: Be responsible for growth in revenue, number and size of projects, and percentage utilization of the  team. Scoping for and converting budget from your clients towards relevant projects. Up-selling with additional solutions and thought-leadership for our clients. 
  • Client Engagement: Develop solid client partnerships based on trust and advocacy, thinking ahead to foresee and mitigate potential issues. Requesting and acting upon quarterly and ad hoc client feedback regarding trust, effectiveness, and value. Achieve aggregate 80%+ score on client feedback surveys when jobs are complete as well as recording verbal and written feedback from client. You will anticipate challenges, push for excellence and find proactive solutions. 
  • Team Leadership: Management of Senior Account Manager and various stakeholders within the core of the client's team and wider network teams to deliver against brand and project objectives and goals. Obtaining fantastic feedback from internal stakeholders regarding collaboration, inspiration, and understanding of account or client strategy. 
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Relevant senior experience working in a creative agency, responsible for running the day to day for a key account or multiple accounts.  
  • You must have experience leading a team to success. In this role, you will be leading and running your projects as well as guiding and mentoring junior members of the team.  
  • Strong gravitas and the ability to forge relationships with mid-level to senior clients, building trust in an agency's offering.  
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive and collaborative mindset, thriving in a team environment.  
  • Commercially responsible for the projects in your monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets. Preferably experience on a global or multimarket client.  
  • Superb understanding of the Digital Advertising ecosystem; social media, digital display, out of home, CRM, and website.  
  • Experience working on as part of an inter-agency team that delivers integrated campaigns that span ATL, Digital, and social channels.   
  • Drives a data-driven approach to campaigns, understanding audience metrics, media strategy/plans and their performance metrics. 
  • As a Brand Guardian, you will need an eye for design, catching creative when it could be improved and aligned to the brand's objectives / purpose. 
  • Your passion ensures every project surpasses the client's expectations, and you have countless case studies demonstrating creative excellence.   
  • A sales-oriented and commercial outlook with a track record of growing the revenue and scope of accounts that you run, either personally or in partnership.  
  • Expert in creating scopes, project proposals and timing plans projects with short deadlines to secure budgets from Brands. 
  • Expert in running a creative project from client briefing to delivery successfully. 
  • You will have experience in line-management. You have a passion for personal development and have a track record of guiding direct reports.  
  • Experience working for large FMCG clients.  
  • Naturally, you have the basics buttoned-down: 
    • Organizational and time management skills. 
    • Dedicated, focused on excellence in all things. 
    • Demanding of themselves and their teams – in the right way always. 
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
