
ANZ Communications Manager

We are looking for a versatile and experienced communications specialist to lead external and internal communications in Australia and New Zealand. You will partner across the organisation to shape our narrative and execute integrated communications campaigns that promote our purpose, innovation and impact, and engage our team.
Interesting problems you’ll get to solve
External Communications
- Develop and lead an external communications plan aligned with our strategic priorities and purpose. Work with different areas of the business to produce key messaging and narratives, ensuring consistency of tone, message and brand.
- Responsible for producing high-quality external communications across various channels, including press releases, website and social media content and thought leadership materials.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications teams to plan and execute a calendar of PR initiatives, finding innovative ways to tell our customer and merchant stories.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media and journalists (including business, technology and consumer finance), prepare press releases and promptly manage media enquiries.
- Identify and support executive thought leadership initiatives, impactful speaking opportunities, and award entries.
- Brief and work with agency partners, as needed.
Internal Communications
- Develop and implement an internal communications strategy aligned to our values, purpose, and strategic priorities.
- Create compelling content for a range of channels (eg, Intranet, Slack, all-staff meetings, videos), with responsibility for managing those channels.
- Develop and maintain an editorial calendar and coordinate messaging across various areas of the business (eg, People & Culture, Product, IT, Marketing, Commercial, Risk) to support organisational alignment and engagement.
- Partner with executive leadership and People & Culture to support communications around business priorities, milestones and change initiatives.
- Monitor and report on communication performance metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
What you'll bring to the team
- Tertiary education in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
- Ideally 8+ years’ experience in communications; ASX-listed or sector experience in technology, financial services or payments sectors preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- Track record of delivering innovative and impactful communications for different audiences.
- Experience working with team members at all levels and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills; collaborative team player who thrives in a fast paced environment; commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
