WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

Box is looking for a Business Analyst II to lead and coordinate production support for Workday using Agile methodology within Box. You will use Agile methodology to intake “Run the Business” tickets through JIRA, determine ticket priority by leading discussions with business teams, delegate tickets appropriately to members of the Enterprise Systems team, and execute tickets using Box processes. In this role, you will be part of the team who is responsible for the design, development, support, maintenance & improvements of Workday programs. You will be working with business partners and collaborating with our IT team by utilizing your technical expertise and business insights. You will also partner closely with our People teams to plan, design and build optimal solutions for our systems and applications. An ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical, communication, and problem solving skills and will be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Coordinate ongoing production support for Workday “Run the Business” tickets in JIRA using Agile methodology including ticket intake, prioritization, delegation, and execution

  • Partner with the business teams to understand business needs, and to troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues, enhancements, and year end activities

  • Analyze business requirements, identify gaps, develop/create business requirements, document user stories, and translate business requirements into effective and efficient functional design specifications and application configuration/technical solutions

  • Conduct impact analysis for proposed system changes and assess the effect on the process and data flow across the organization

  • Develop and execute system test solutions to ensure they meet the business requirements/specifications, and document existing and new processes

  • Partner with and assist integrations team in requirements, configuration and testing between Workday and other 3rd party/custom solutions alongside business teams and vendors 

  • Manage bi-annual system update process; educate and guide users on upcoming features and provide technical guidance for testing/adoption of new features and functionality; manage end to end regression testing of new and required features

  • Participate in the planning, prioritization, design, development and deployment of new projects & system enhancements using Box project methodology and industry best practices

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Technical Skills

    • 3+ years of industry experience implementing & supporting various HR applications

    • 1+ years of production support experience with Workday HCM, Reporting, and/or Security modules

    • 1+ years of experience working and delivering in an Agile environment, including using JIRA for prioritization, testing, documentation and deployment

    • Experience in SOX process in Workday is a plus

  • Functional Skills

    • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills

    • Ability to work optimally in a team environment as well as independently

    • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely and ensure others are informed

    • Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize to ensure work is done in a timely and high quality manner

  • Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent years of industry experience

    • Experience with multiple HCM, payroll and/or financial applications a plus
