Motion Graphics Designer - 12 Months FTC

Role: Motion Graphics Designer - 12 Months FTC

Location: Cape Town, South Africa (hybrid)

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Motion Graphics Designer will work on major advertising campaigns for a leading fashion brand, based in South Africa satellite studio. We are seeking a highly skilled Motion Graphic Designer with previous adaptation experience working on global brand moving image campaigns. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro and Media Encoder with a strong understanding of animation principles and design aesthetics. Ideally the candidate will have experience working with expressions and automation workflows to streamline the production process. A comprehensive understanding of common social media, DOOH, Online Video, TV and Cinema specifications is a must. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate rigorous quality control and ride themselves in producing accurate on brand content. As Motion Graphic Designer, you will produce high volume campaigns across all moving image channels, ensuring language adaptations are accurately executed, building bespoke requests for local markets, working closely with the IPMs to communicate status and flag risk where necessary, championing automation and future-facing WoW.

  • Ideally, you’ll have experience in large-scale accounts in FMCG industries, such as Beauty or Fashion and experience across multiple channels – because we do the lot, from TV to DOOH to press to 121 to display, social and content.

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

Reporting to the Lead Editor, you'll closely collaborate with global and regional teams, producing impactful, high-end content.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Work with in house automation tools to set up large volume campaigns for production.
  • Utilising After Affects to manually build bespoke requests for local markets.
  • Attending daily stand-ups and receiving briefs to establish daily production quota.
  • Updating the Integrated Project Managers of production status, flagging issues and risks where necessary.
  • Produce high volume campaigns across all moving image channels
  • Adapting master files, cropping and rendering to local markets specifications.
  • Ensuring all work produced is quality assured and meets brand guidelines.
  • Champion automation and future-facing ways of working.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude to learn new software and programmes efficiently and effectively.
  • Clear communication to project managers ensuring daily status updates are adhered to.
  • Ensuring language adaptations are accurately executed, understanding fundamental typography standards.

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in motion production workflows, covering owned and bought media.
  • Experience working with multiple campaigns, languages, and digital channels.
  • Demonstrated production experience on global brands.
  • Strong design skills and comprehensive understanding of Adobe After Effects, Media Encoder and Premier Pro and rendering/output settings.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Typography and language adaptation experience
  • Proficiency forecasting, resource management and project burn rate.
  • Keen eye for detail and quality control.
