A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAM: 

We have been appointed to partner with one of our clients, an internationally known B2B organisation in the event sector, to drive their Brand and Content marketing pillar forward within their Healthcare division. The portfolio consists of 5x pillars to successfully drive their marketing activities. 

 

The Brand and Content marketing pillar will focus on elevating our client's brand, to drive brand engagement and awareness and to grow audience engagement. The team will implement digital best practices, own content development and strategy across the digital marketing ecosystem, and enhance audience engagement through all digital touchpoints. 

 

 

The PR Manager is tasked with overseeing the relationship with our client’s PR Agency, who are responsible for advancing and crafting the PR strategy for each brand within our client's B2B portfolio. You will establish OKRs for the PR agency to achieve, including monitoring and reporting on their performance. Collaboration with the broader marketing team and the Digital Centre of Excellence is also required to execute the overarching PR strategy. 
 
You'll join a team of over 30 people, managing and owning project plans. You'll collaborate with the broader marketing team and work closely with our client's external agencies and partners. 

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: 

 
This is a hands-on role where you will work with Marketing Pillar Leads and Marketing Managers and their teams to improve knowledge of PR Strategy, best practice, and guide them on the best use of digital marketing channels – including email and social. PR is a strategic channel to help put our client’s business on the global B2B events map and this role will be critical in helping to achieve that. 
 
Internal Comms is a fundamental part of the role where you will work closely with the Head of Brand and Content and our clients’ Marketing Director to help promote brand values, business vision and business narrative, helping to keep employees engaged. 

 

 
WHAT IS REQUIRED: 

  • An experienced PR professional with 5+ years of agency or client-side experience. 
  • Extensive experience of building brands through PR and social media. 
  • An accomplished PR strategist with experience of developing brand and product stories.  
  • Experience of crisis communications – planning and implementation.  
  • Experience of building relationships with media and influencers. 
  • Experience managing a PR Agency relationship. 
  • Solid understanding of the role PR plays in the digital marketing ecosystem. 
  • Strong in writing and creative development. 
  • Expertise in monitoring and reporting on engagement and campaign performance (methodologies and technology). 
  • A great collaborator, strong in both internal and external communications. 
  • An individual who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. 
  • A real people person, who can bring colleagues on a journey. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams to achieve common event goals. 
  • Develop high-quality, marketable agendas and programs that meet the needs of our communities, cater to identified personas, and drive attendance. 
  • Plan, create, deliver and measure highly targeted, audience specific communications. 
  • Strategically advise the team on engaging content for a variety of formats and channels, including for email, whitepapers, blogs, and social media. 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Strategy & Marketing Leads to intake regional campaign strategies, stories, and KPIs.  
  • Partner with Creative to ensure creative assets developed meet the needs of the performance marketing plan, including opportunities to test and learn across audience segments. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple and clear manner that is understandable. 
  • Detail-driven, self-starting, and critical mind with the ability to handle multiple projects at once. 
  • Working in a team of over 30 across OLIVER and our client. 
  • Potential overseas travel on adhoc basis. 

 

 

WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE: 

  • An understanding of an agency background with client-side experience will be advantageous in this role. 
  • Experience of building and sustaining meaningful client partnerships whilst maintaining a strong commercial focus. 
  • Results driven – creation of and delivery against business plans driven by growth targets. 
  • Confident working autonomously and with 3rd party agencies. 
  • Excellent presentation skills – both written and spoken. 
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service. 
  • Experience in multiple industry sectors, B2B experience is a must. 
  • 5+ years of relevant digital marketing experience.
