Role: Senior Conceptual Copywriter
Location: London, England, United Kingdom
About the role:
Working onsite at The Guardians offices (3 days per week: Mon, Tues and Thurs) you’ll create intelligent, witty and hardworking copy in a variety of channels, including print and display advertising, email and digital campaigns, social media, presentations and printed collateral. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll be part of a team of 12 creatives across design, motion and artwork.
What you will be doing:
Proven conceptual and strategic thinker, brimming with good creative ideas. In addition, you’ll:
- Have superior attention to detail, with an exemplary command of grammar and punctuation
- Be a confident verbal communicator who loves to tell stories
- Be able to craft a headline in the brand’s intelligent and playful tone of voice
- Delight in both long and short copy
- Have good listening skills
- Have the ability to interpret, understand and simplify complex briefs
- Know how to take on board feedback and criticism.
- You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

- You’ll also have 5+ years of copywriting and conceptual experience in:
- advertising, both print and display
- Long copy
- CRM
- social media
- You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
