Role Overview

PlayStation is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Growth Strategy Manager to join our Global Marketing Sales & Business Operations (GMSBO) team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning key business initiatives, conducting in-depth research and analysis, and identifying growth opportunities that align with our organizational goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects and support decision-making processes with data-driven insights.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of PlayStation and the entire GMSBO organization. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a proven track record in business strategy and planning. You will keep a pulse on the latest customer behaviors and industry trends and use your analytical, creative thinking, and business acumen to develop growth hypotheses. The Growth Strategy Manager will work with senior leaders to define and articulate strategy, research and recommend revenue growth opportunities, and incubate new business areas. 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating new business models, as well as making recommendations on how to optimize existing business opportunities
  • Generating, synthesizing and analyzing relevant research reports to inform mid and long-term strategy
  • Partnering with internal & external stakeholders to identify business opportunities and inform long-term strategy
  • Generating complex analyses and scenario planning for executive recommendation and decision-making
  • Supporting strategic initiatives with rigorous data analysis
  • Generating ad-hoc internal analysis and Power Point presentations, optimizing for salient information and flow
  • Assisting in research of overall industry trends and qualitative/quantitative competitive analysis

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years+ of strategic planning, management consulting, or investment banking experience
  • Proven expertise in research and data analysis to develop business strategy and plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication and executive presence.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work under pressure to meet fixed deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work and lead projects independently.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects at one time, and rapidly change priorities based on business needs
  • Proactive, able to self-start, pitch and manage relevant projects with minimal supervision 
  • Video game industry knowledge
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • MBA or equivalent degree

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for video games
  • Knowledge of video game technologies, business, and consumer trends
  • Experience in mobile gaming
  • Proficiency with database driven analytics & visualization tools and techniques (e.g. SQL, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Tech, gaming or related industry experience
  • Advanced financial and managerial model-building capabilities.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$161,100 - $241,700 USD
