About the Role 

ABI Growth is seeking an ambitious and curious law student to support its Global Legal team. You will provide legal support on technology and innovation initiatives and transformational projects, including relating to data privacy, product counseling, and commercial transactions. The ideal candidate will be a legal student interested in the tech industry. Prior experience in tech legal practice will be an advantage.   

In this role, you will be working in AB Inbev’s Growth Group in São Paulo, but you will work closely with the ABI Growth and BEES teams within each country of operation.  Proficiency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish is preferred.  

Work location: São Paulo, SP  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the Legal team in day-to-day operations across multiple areas, including data privacy, product counseling, contracts, and legal operations. 
  • Assist in reviewing, drafting, and revising commercial contracts, and other legal documents under the supervision of senior counsel. 
  • Conduct legal research on technology, consumer protection, intellectual property, and data protection laws to support business initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with the Data Privacy team to monitor regulatory developments, maintain data mapping documentation, and support compliance activities. 
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining processes and tools that improve efficiency and consistency within the Legal function (e.g., contract management systems, template updates). 
  • Help track and organize legal documentation to ensure timely follow-up and reporting. 
  • Participate in team meetings, provide administrative and logistical support for legal projects, and coordinate with external counsel as needed. 
  • Stay informed of changes in Brazilian and international regulations that may impact the company’s operations. 

Job Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in a Law degree (Bacharelado em Direito) program at an accredited university in Brazil, with at least the 7th semester completed. 
  • Strong academic performance and interest in technology, data privacy, and corporate/commercial law. 
  • Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in English (spoken and written) — able to review and draft documents in both languages.  
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills. 
  • Strong ability to research legal issues and synthesize findings clearly. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment and collaborating with global teams. 
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with contract management systems or other legal tech tools is a plus. 
  • Availability to work 30 hours per week (depending on local internship regulations and academic schedule). 
  • Eligible to hold an internship agreement (termo de estágio) through the university.
