O&M DBA

Washington, DC

At i360technologies, we deliver business consulting and technology solutions that support the mission of federal agencies. i360 is seeking an experienced Oracle Applications DBA to support a mission-critical federal financial management system for a federal client. This role is central to the daily Operations, Maintenance, and Enhancement (OM&E) of an Oracle E-Business Suite environment hosted in cloud infrastructure — requiring a hands-on technician who is as comfortable in the weeds of production troubleshooting as they are navigating formal federal change control and compliance processes.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience across Oracle EBS, Oracle Database, and Oracle Federal Financials, and thrives in structured, high-accountability environments where system stability, security, and documentation are non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, patch, clone, and troubleshoot Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Database environments across production and non-production tiers (development, testing, UAT, staging, and COOP).
  • Manage Oracle EBS operational components including Concurrent Managers, Concurrent Programs, Request Sets, Workflows, and Workflow Mailer.
  • Perform Oracle EBS and database patching (including Critical Patch Updates), backup and recovery operations, and thorough post-patch validation.
  • Support RMAN backups, Data Guard replication, restore testing, and disaster recovery/COOP exercises.
  • Prepare environments for monthly releases, urgent releases, testing cycles, and production deployments.
  • Drive incident and problem resolution — analyzing root causes, documenting findings, and implementing approved fixes in accordance with change management processes.
  • Monitor system performance, storage, failed jobs, workflow issues, interface issues, and security-related events.
  • Coordinate effectively across developers, functional SMEs, testers, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive DBA documentation including SOPs, architecture diagrams, patching records, backup/recovery procedures, troubleshooting guides, and audit evidence packages.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Oracle Applications DBA experience, with hands-on production O&M support.
  • Deep experience administering Oracle E-Business Suite environments, including application tier, concurrent processing, workflows, patching, cloning, backup, recovery, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Oracle Critical Patch Updates, EBS and database patches, and post-patch validation.
  • Experience with RMAN, Data Guard, environment refreshes, and disaster recovery support.
  • Experience supporting formal change management, configuration management, release management, and deployment processes.
  • Experience with security controls, vulnerability remediation, access reviews, audit evidence, and compliance documentation.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Availability to support urgent production issues and planned after-hours maintenance, patching, release, or DR activities as needed.
  • Ability to complete required client background investigation, credentialing, and access procedures.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Oracle E-Business Suite R12 experience.
  • Oracle Federal Financials experience.
  • Oracle EBS in AWS or other cloud-hosted infrastructure (EC2, EFS, AWS Backup, IAM, Config, Security Hub, CloudWatch).
  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager, Splunk, Nessus, Qualys, Jira, ServiceNow, Remedy, SVN, or Git.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, FISMA, FISCAM, ATO, DR/COOP, or federal audit documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Linux, Unix/Linux shell scripting, Perl, PL/SQL, SQL, WebLogic, BI Publisher, OBIEE, or Discoverer.
  • Oracle, AWS, Security+, or related technical certification.

Security & Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust (suitability) clearance
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required (no visa sponsorship available)

  • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Paid Time Off (0-3 years - 15 Days PTO | 3+ years 20 Days)

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
