The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Manager, Venue Development Building Information Modeling
The Games Planning & Delivery group aims to deliver the most seamless, innovative, and engaging Games experience ever for all athletes, fans, partners, and the community. The Games Planning & Delivery team is currently organized in four key areas including Venue Infrastructure, Venue Management, Revenue & Commercial, and Games Operations, but will expand to over 30 functional areas by Games time.
The Venue Infrastructure team is responsible for delivering the competition and non-competition venues fit-for-purpose for the preparation and staging of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This department is responsible for managing the design, development, program management, construction, maintenance and removal of all Games infrastructure in existing and fully temporary venues.
The Venue Infrastructure team for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data and Information Manager to lead and support the Venue Development team responsible for designing and delivering the Olympic and Paralympic venues. In this role, the Manager, Venue Development Building Information Modeling (BIM) will oversee external design resources and refine all technical design and analysis supporting the LA28 Games Plan. This pivotal role combines technical expertise in building BIM systems with leadership in design, architecture, engineering, and project management. The Manager will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure that venue development aligns seamlessly with the Organizing Committee’s vision and goals.
Our ideal candidate is organized, analytical, detail-oriented, skilled in project management, and capable of collaborating across a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including acting as the primary project manager for external design partners.
This position will report to the Director, Venue Development.
Key Responsibilities:
BIM Coordination & Management
- Support our design teams in developing, implementing, and overseeing BIM strategies, standards, and workflows across all existing and temporary venue overlay projects.
- Manage the design team’s creation and maintenance of BIM models, ensuring their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and LA28’s standards.
- Coordinate BIM activities among architects, engineers, and external consultants to ensure smooth collaboration.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between internal functional areas and external stakeholders, including design consultants, engineers, contractors, and other major stakeholders to support the venue design development.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely and effective execution of venue designs through Revit.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to BIM processes and project delivery.
- Work closely with LA28 Design and Engineering Contractors to translate strategic design development goals and visions into actionable plans.
- Facilitate communication, collaboration and alignment between design & engineering teams, internal and external, construction & delivery, and operational stakeholders.
- Ensure all designs and plans adhere to LA28’s sustainability and accessibility objectives.
- Provide training and guidance to internal team members and external partners on BIM tools and processes.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and introduce innovative BIM practices to improve efficiency and quality.
- Support the design and engineering teams conduct regular audits of BIM models to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with established standards.
- Oversee clash detection processes and coordinate resolutions to design conflicts.
Background & Qualifications:
Education:
- Certification / degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
Expectations:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM management within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, and other relevant tools.
- Extensive background in CAD standards and conventions, including references, annotations, templates, file naming, revision control, and layering.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with sustainability and accessibility principles in construction projects.
- Experience working on projects with diverse teams and high-profile stakeholders is highly desirable.
- Ability to align technical solutions and data architecture with LA28’s Venue Development team goals.
- Capable of leading and influencing cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in all project documentation and processes.
- Proactively identifies and resolves technical and logistical challenges in Revit and other relevant design tools.

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
