The Job: Manager, Employee Communications & HR Change Management
This role develops and delivers strategic internal communication and change management initiatives that support HR priorities, foster employee engagement, and enable smooth adoption of organizational and cultural changes. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, the role is both strategic and hands-on, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and aligned during periods of growth and transformation.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies aligned to HR and business priorities.

  • Craft clear, engaging messages on culture, DE&I, wellbeing, leadership updates, policy changes, and organizational announcements.

  • Lead communication and change plans for HR initiatives such as restructuring, HR tech rollouts, EVP refreshes, and performance frameworks.

  • Conduct stakeholder and impact assessments to guide tone and timing of communications.

  • Partner with senior HR leaders, business unit heads, and external communications teams to ensure alignment.

  • Advise project teams on messaging and adoption strategies.

  • Collaborate on employee engagement programs related to recognition, belonging, values, and organizational purpose.

  • Plan and execute communications for sensitive situations such as redundancies, compliance changes, or executive transitions.

  • Ensure internal communications meet governance, branding, and regulatory standards.

  • Optimize intranet and other internal channels to ensure content is timely, accessible, and inclusive.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into engaging and empathetic messaging.

  • Experience supporting senior leadership communications and advising executives.

  • Proven ability to manage sensitive communications with confidentiality and care.

  • Skilled in SharePoint content development and intranet updates.

  • Able to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders while fostering collaboration across teams.

  • Strong judgment to balance transparency, legal/regulatory compliance, and reputational considerations.

  • Comfort working in fast-paced, regulated environments with cultural transformation and frequent organizational change.

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, HR Management, Organizational Psychology, or Business Administration (required).

  • Prosci Change Management Certification and/or Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) or SCMP from IABC (preferred).

  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in internal communications, HR communications, change management, or organizational development.

  • 2–3 years in a complex, regulated industry (financial services, banking, fintech, or insurance highly preferred).

  • Proven track record leading or contributing to large-scale change programs.

  • Hands-on experience with employee engagement initiatives and HR-led transformations.
