Summary

The Digital Insights & Optimization team is focused on data architecture, data insights, and data orchestration for all NFL Digital Media properties. Our focus is ensuring all stakeholders are informed with data required for data driven decision making.  Stakeholders across the league and clubs rely on our team to understand the digital media data and business goals. Focused on insights to drive the business forward and promote change within our organization. Which all requires the NFL to operate in a legally compliant environment.

This role involves working with the product and engineering teams to enable data collection and ensure data integrity. As well as, making sure data collection is adhering to the NFL’s global variable architecture. The Manager, Data Operations is responsible for managing the data collection, implementation, and QA across the digital media portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Owns analytics implementation and specifications across Websites, Mobile Apps, and CTV devices owned and operated by NFL Digital Media.
  • Responsible for quality assurance of the data collection implemented through the NFL’s Adobe tag manager and ensuring that all data collected on NFL digital platforms is compliant with local and international laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Be the day-to-day contact for the NFL’s Legal and Privacy office with regards to first- and third-party data collection on NFL digital properties.
  • Implement new data collection strategies through the NFL’s Adobe Launch tag manager to advance the League’s Product and Marketing initiatives while remaining compliant with PII laws.
  • Provide data-driven strategic guidance to leadership and product owners throughout the NFL by developing new data collection methodologies.
  • Outline and support NFL’s data architecture through tools such as Adobe Experience Platform and Conviva.
  • Continuously audit the NFL’s domestic and international websites, coordinate with the development teams of each to provide rich, but compliant, data collection of the NFL’s digital user base.
  • Manage small team of contractors to facilitate implementation and QA.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate College Degree.
  • A minimum GPA of at least 3.0. Academic transcripts (official or unofficial) will be requested.
  • Preferred major/coursework: Statistics, Data Science, Math, Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Digital Analytics
  • Minimum 2 years towards implementation of Adobe Experience Platform
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical designs to capture data required to inform the business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship and/or work experience is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Travel

  • Limited travel will be required, less than 10% of time

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • Full-time, 40 hours/week

Salary / Pay Range

Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Salary

$100,000 - $140,000 USD
