Role: Culture and Insights Analyst (12 month FTC with view to extend)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

 

About the role:

We are seeking a Culture & Insights Analyst to join our in-house client team Amsterdam.This position will be pivotal in advancing the social, digital, and performance transformation initiatives within the client’s ice cream sector across the UK and Europe, encompassing some of the world’s leading ice cream brands. As a solution-focused professional, you will operate with a high level of autonomy, developing data led audience insights that drive social content, campaigns, influencer initiatives and more. You should be adept at analysing multiple data sources, leveraging AI and other tools to explore audience and social trends across various markets. Additionally, you will evaluate the effectiveness of social activations, align performance with strategic goals, and offer insightful recommendations and optimisations to planners, strategists, and social media managers. By partnering with the dedicated Ice Cream team, the Culture & Insights Analyst will play a crucial role in transforming brands’ presence and performance across markets within the ice cream division.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver frequent audience, category, and social insights to guide brands on social platforms, using data from various sources to understand audience needs, behaviours, and cultural trends in key global and regional markets.
  • Proactively share insights with the Ice Cream team to keep them updated on relevant cultural trends, from evergreen to reactive perspectives. Use these insights to inform strategy ideation, influencer initiatives and content generation within the category.
  • Conduct social channel audits, competitor reviews and social insight reporting, building frameworks for measuring effectiveness against strategic objectives.
  • Drive efficiencies in spotting community insights and opportunities by upskilling team on using data analytics tools.
  • Set up and utilise social listening tools to monitor brand reputation and trends, identifying opportunities and optimising internal dashboards. 
  • Lead on identifying and presenting new data driven insight solutions and championing insight tools across the Ice Cream category.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Research and insight background, particularly working directly with social teams (including influencer and paid). This includes relevant background in identifying and analysing social trends
  • A strategic thinker with an innovative approach to data, pushing the boundaries of how data can be used to decode consumers more emotional needs
  • Expert using social platforms such as Brandwatch and Sprinklr including building of social data queries (boolean)
  • Strong knowledge of panel and survey providers such as Global Web Index, YouGov, Kantar, Audiense
  • Expert analytical solutions that aggregate and mine data from numerous sources to create richer audience views and segmentations, uncovering insights that drive future strategy
  • Excellent communication / data storytelling skills, ability to distil complex ideas for non-technical audiences
  • An active interest in behavioural science approaches and techniques – and how this can be delivered through data
  • Proactive ability to identify client insight needs and build tailored solutions accordingly
  • Desire to continually learn and push the boundaries
  • Ideal but not essential to be proficient in more than one language
  • Confident and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Collaborative team player, open minded
