Channel Experience Manager 

Mexico City, Mexico 

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Channel Experience Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing the Channel Experience strategy of PlayStation in Mexico, to achieve defined business objectives (KPIs) with the Marketing Team. The CEM will be responsible for ensuring the proper development, execution and benchmarking of all programs designed to increase brand visibility. 

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and dynamic team player, with strong attention to detail, an analytical mind and someone who can push things forward in a fast-paced commercial environment. 

The primary responsibilities include:  

  • Manage Relationship with the Distributor to ensure strategy implementation. 
  • Develop and implement data-based and consistent annual trade marketing plans by channel to build and grow PlayStation, considering seasonality impact on all categories. 
  • Lead trade marketing initiatives to ensure the proper strategy is in place to meet both brand and customer expectations. 
  • Identify and develop necessary Point of Sales tools to increase brand presence, market share and improve customer satisfaction. 
  • Develop Local assets promotions in collaboration with the Global Channel Experience. 
  • Create and maintain a trade calendar of activities working with both the Retail & Marketing team 
  • Optimize PlayStation assortment per channel, store type and format and ensure optimal distribution. 
  • Work with the sales’ teams to design bespoke promotions for key customers based on shopper profiling and customer strategy and objectives 
  • Monitor retail pricing activities 
  • Visits/monitors stores and retailer sites to review product presentation and communication 
  • Recommend and monitor trade marketing budgets 
  • Responsible for the creation and production of all PlayStation retail environments & components (fixtures, displays and interactives) 
  • Provide project leadership for local store-within-store concepts.  
  • Provide guidance and strategy to the Merchandiser Agency to manage and train the Merchandiser/Promoters Team.  
  • Develop retail training and demonstration guides and digital content of product launches for PlayStation trainers, field rep team, and vendor partners. 
  • Liaise with channel experience on the organization of arcade areas within retail activation events and with MarCom on the execution. 
  • Manage the inventory of equipment needed for trade shows and industry events.  

 

Requirements: 

  • 8+ years of proven trade marketing experience in a consumer goods-related position, preferably in a role involved in branding. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent.   
  • Creative and energetic teammate who embraces change and a desire to continually improve. 
  • Strong communication, presentation skills with a proactive attitude. Delivery focused.  
  •  Forward thinking and proven experience in the ability to plan, collaborate, negotiate and come to an  optimal business solution. Work across teams and get great results. 
  • Experience in working as part of a team that crosses multiple countries and time zones. Flexibility and capacity to collaborate with global counterparts. 
  • Strong, Trade/Customer Marketing background and category Management skills. 
  • Experience in analyzing and identifying category trends and shopper segments to plan against results. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills: ability to clearly articulate ideas in a written and verbal format. 
  • Capability in building a strategic, multilevel and teamwork relationship and managing multiplestakeholders, finding common ground with finance experts, sales reps, and retail buyers… alike. 
  • Proven ability and desire to help build a Trade Marketing infrastructure, including processes, methodologies and tools required to drive effectiveness. 
  • Experience working with Colombia, Peru, Inter-America markets is a plus. 
  • Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish (100% oral and written).
