Role Overview:
The Senior Director, Product Safety and Compliance will lead all aspects of product safety, environmental, and consumer protection regulatory compliance. This senior leadership role will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety and compliance across diverse markets and regulatory environments. A global role, with teams in America, Europe and Asia.
What you'll be doing:
- Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement the company's strategic vision for product safety and compliance, aligning with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Establish due diligence and processes to ensure all products align with global regulatory standards, including but not limited to CE, UL, FCC, RoHS, WEEE, packaging, batteries, and REACH legislation.
- Risk Management: Evaluate potential and actual non-compliance issues and manage implementation of corrective and preventative measures.
- Tracking Requirements: Identify and assess new, emerging and changing global regulatory requirements to product safety and compliance across the product lifecycle.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a global team of compliance professionals, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work multi-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, legal, and operations, to embed safety and compliance into product design and development processes.
What we're looking for:
- 15+ years of experience in product safety and compliance within the electronics manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Deep understanding of global regulatory standards and requirements for electronics products.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organisation.
- Professional certifications in product safety or regulatory affairs (e.g., ASQ, ISO) are highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
