Coordinator, Finance (Part-Time)

Overview /Objective 

 This part-time position works closely with Finance team members and NFL Media personnel in analyzing and driving the financial performance of various NFL Media business units including Network Affiliate, Ad Sales, Direct to Consumer, Next Gen Stats, Operations, Product, Technology, Gaming and Marketing teams. This hybrid role supports both the planning and close process at NFL Media, as well as ad-hoc analysis and assisting with special projects as assigned. Please note this is a part time position. 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in preparing long range plans, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, real-time forecasts, variance analysis, risk/opportunity assessments, and various ad hoc reporting 
  • Assist in quarter-end close cycle, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and variance analysis 
  • Support finance team who manages our business operators with operational finance and accounting workflows, including invoice processing and purchase order administration, billings to partners, new vendor management and ad-hoc requests 
  • Maintain monthly revenue schedules for Ad Sales and Affiliate partners, communicating details and adjustments with accounts receivable, and preparing additional reporting for key stakeholders 
  • Maintain tracking schedule for all partner agreements to ensure proper timing of invoicing, GAAP revenue recognition and upcoming renewals 
  • Assist in updating/rolling forward financial reports and distributing to each business unit 
  • General ledger maintenance and management 
  • Ensure the business unit adheres to key League financial policies and procedures surrounding contracts, invoice processing and expense reimbursements 
  • Recommend efficiencies/improvements to existing financial processes surrounding budgeting and forecasting, quarter-end close cycle and other financial and accounting procedures 
  • Special projects and ad-hoc financial requests from the business unit as needed 

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; preferably in Accounting or Finance 
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience within a Corporate FP&A, Operational Finance, Controllership or Public Accounting environment 
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills  
  • Strong analytical and communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • CPA or MBA preferred but not required 
  • Experience with ERP systems and budget planning tools

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work well individually and as part of a team, ability to successfully partner with both Financial and non-Financial professionals 

Terms / Expected Hours of Work 

  • This is a part time, non-exempt position based on site. Hours consistent with part time status (no more than 30 hours per week)  

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. 

Salary

$28 - $28 USD
