Director, Business Operations (Mexico)
The Director of Business Operations plays a critical role as the interface to key country stakeholders, leading and championing the day-to-day execution of country plans. This role will be responsible for driving key aspects of the operations, including growing NFL fandom, supporting the NFL teams within the Global Market Program, working with government and municipalities to grow the sports on the grassroots level and collaborating with all other relevant departments of the NFL and NFL International (e.g. Global Events, Consumer Products, Consumer Insights) to drive the growth of the NFL in Mexico.
Responsibilities
Manage key aspects of the operations of the local territory business, including:
- Business Management & KPIs
- Manage all budget aspects of operations (monitoring, KPI development, and controlling) in partnership with Finance.
- Lead the annual business planning cycle in collaboration with local Marketing, Sponsorship, Consumer Products, and Finance teams, as well as key Global Leads—coordinating input and aligning deliverables to drive strategic clarity and performance visibility.
- Optimize and standardize operational processes across the territory.
- Develop and monitor day-to-day systems to provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.
- Identify growth opportunities through cross-functional collaboration with domestic and international teams, leveraging key industry insights.
- Partner with functional leads to support in-market execution and revenue growth across Consumer Products, Commercial Partners, Media, Ticketing & Hospitality, Events, Football Development, Legal, and other areas.
- Stakeholder & Government Partnerships
- Partner with the Marketing team to shape and advance the strategy for strengthening and maintaining established municipal and government relationships in support of NFL Mexico’s broader growth strategy.
- Global Markets Program & Club Strategy
- Lead coordination between the Mexico office and clubs with marketing rights in the territory, ensuring alignment and collaboration, while supporting the primary points of contact as needed.
- Drive success in securing and utilizing Community Development Grants tied to programming and operational support.
- Office Management, Administration & Logistics
- Partner with key stakeholders to oversee relationships with logistical vendors and service providers, including NFL IT, telecom, benefits providers, logistics firms, and facilities management.
- Oversee agency coordination and service providers, including RFP processes and adherence to league procurement guidelines
- Special Projects & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Demonstrate flexibility in taking on special projects and organizational challenges.
- Collaborate with other NFL departments and territory offices on strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with league-wide standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, with Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in one of the following: consulting, investment, sports, media and/or corporate strategy with a focus on operations
- Excellent project management skills and ability to deliver against deadlines while simultaneously managing multiple projects
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Mexico business environment, as well as entertainment and sports industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; 100% bilingual Spanish-English

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. This role will require additional hours during certain time periods as well.
Salary
$1,500,000 - $2,500,000 MXN

This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location, and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
