What you'll do:
- Manage and administer non-relational databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security;
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient database structures and schemas for non-relational databases;
- Analyze and optimize database performance by monitoring query execution, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning techniques;
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for non-relational databases, ensuring data integrity and availability;
- Monitor database systems, identify and resolve issues, and provide timely support to development teams;
- Plan and execute data migration from relational to non-relational databases, ensuring smooth transition and minimal downtime;
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including database schemas, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and data analysts, to ensure optimal database performance and data integrity;
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in non-relational databases and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) working with non-relational databases such as MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Cassandra, or similar tools;
- Advanced knowledge of database management systems, data structures, and architecture;
- Strong proficiency in database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting;
- Experience in designing and implementing database security measures and access controls;
- Familiarity with data migration techniques and tools;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Advanced English.
